Inclusiv Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy: Free Solar Lending Professional Training & Certificate

Inclusiv Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy: Free Solar Lending Professional Training & Certificate

Starting in January 2021, Inclusiv will be offering a free, virtual Solar Lending Professional Training Series and Certification Program designed to increase the capacity of community-based lenders (credit unions, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and community banks) to offer solar financing. The training will be offered free of charge to cohorts of lending professionals who have high capacity to implement solar loan programs at their institutions.

The cohort-based series will be divided into two tracks: Consumer Solar Lending and Commercial Solar Lending, and each track will be offered four times a year. Each training course will last for six week and will provide lending professionals the practical application skills and tools needed to design and implement (or refine) solar lending programs offered by CDFIs and credit unions. Each cohort will participate in a combination of weekly, instructor-led, live Zoom sessions and self-paced lectures and homework assignments. Upon successful course completion, participants will earn a Solar Lending Professional Certificate.
